How much will it cost?

I want to be sure that if you decide to use this service, you know exactly what it will cost before you agree to go ahead.  Everything you need to know about the costs of the family dispute resolution process is included on this page.

Children’s matters

Mediation’s for children’s matters can be booked in for a half day or a full day.   

Half day

First Intake Session (1 to 2 hours)                        $    220.00

These fees include all preparation, any travel, and issuing a certificate if this is necessary at the end of the process.  All of the figures include GST.  In other words, there are no hidden costs.  If the cost isn’t listed on this website, you won’t be asked to pay it.

Each party will be expected to pay for their intake session, half of the mediation, and half of any room hire.  If the total cost for a half day mediation, including room hire, is $2,200.00, your half will be $1,100.00.

 

Property matters

As part of a scheme run by the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators (AIFLAM), I offer lower cost mediation where the dispute involves property only and the net value of all assets, including any superannuation, is under $750,000. 

The fixed fee, which includes preparation, two intake sessions and the mediation itself for up to a full day, is currently $2,373 (including GST).

If room hire is needed, then the total cost  would be:

Where the net value of the assets, including superannuation, is over $750,000, the fees for a mediation about property will be:
